France squad against Ireland & Germany: Mbappe leads, Camavinga & Saliba in

There was doubt on whether Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konaté would get the nod after sustaining a minor muscle injury. The former Leipzig man eventually receives another call-up. Deschamps’ France midfield stalwarts N’Golo Kanté and Paul Pogba have both missed out, despite their recent outings with their respective teams.

Les Bleus will face the Republic of Ireland on 7th September at Paris’ Parc des Princes as part of their campaign to qualify for the Euro 2024. France lead Group B courtesy of their four wins in as many games, against The Netherlands (4-0), Ireland (1-0), Gibraltar (3-0) and Greece (1-0). France will then face Germany for a friendly game at Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park on 12th September.
