Fulham boss Arbeloa: Robinson's ankle injury status undetermined

  /  autty

Fulham manager Aveloa stated that Robinson's ankle injury still needs to be assessed.

Fulham has only collected 2 points in the first 5 league matches under Aveloa, currently tied for last place in the Premier League standings with other teams. However, the team's performance has improved after drawing with Liverpool and Manchester United.

Fulham might be without vice-captain Robinson when they play Ipswich away. Robinson suffered an ankle injury in training on Thursday, and Aveloa said: "He had a bit of an ankle issue yesterday, but we'll see later; I don't know yet. I don't have the answer."

Aveloa said: "I think he should be able to play, but I need to decide if he's ready to play the full 90 minutes or start on the bench. I can't answer that right now."

Robinson's importance has continued to grow this season, starting every league match since Aveloa took charge. The US international is a key attacking initiator in Aveloa's high-pressing system, and the Fulham manager believes he will be available against Ipswich.

Tom Cairney is still recovering from knee surgery, having undergone a minor operation in early August. Kenny Tete is expected to get playing time, having missed Fulham's 1-1 draw with Manchester United due to the Premier League's concussion protocol.

Aveloa said: "We are very happy because everyone is back and in good physical condition. Everyone is available for tomorrow's match. Kenny Tete is much better. We are happy to have Tom Cairney back, but it might still be a bit too early for him."
