Fulham skipper Tom Cairney has revealed all about the celebrations that followed after the club's promotion to the Premier League, admitting they enjoyed a spot of karoake into the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Scott Parker's side overcame west London rivals Brentford 2-1 on Tuesday night in the Championship play-off final at Wembley, with Joe Bryan scoring twice for Fulham in extra-time after a tense 90 minutes.
And after Fulham secured promotion at the first time of asking following relegation last season, they made the most of their celebrations at their hotel.
Cairney, who certainly looked worse for wear, gave an insight into the jubilant celebrations inside the Fulham camp following their famous triumph.
After being asked how he was feeling following the late-night antics, Cairney - who had his play-off winning medal draped around his neck - amusingly replied to Sky Sports: 'What time is it?
'A little bit hungover and tired but overall the feeling is just proud really. Proud of the boys, proud of the team and delighted for the manager and the staff. It is a great feeling to get back there for the first time.'
He then jokingly added: 'It was quite quiet in here to be fair. No there was a bit of karaoke going off, loads of beers and champagne – the lot.
'It was just nice to share it with everyone. It has been a hard year for a number of reasons, so to do that and top it all off was sensational and we really enjoyed it.'
Cairney then went on to reveal his music of choice as he had a go on the karaoke in front of his team-mates, backroom staff and family members.
'I had a little go at Westlife, it wasn’t the best but I tried,' the 29-year-old English midfielder added.
Cairney and his Fulham team-mates will be desperate for a much more successful campaign next time round after their last assault on the Premier League.
During the 2018-19 season, Fulham finished 19th in the top-flight with just 26 points - a massive 10 adrift of 17th place.
And the Cottagers captain insists the club have to stay fully united if they are to stand any chance of retaining their place among England's elite.
Cairney said: 'I think we need to keep the dressing room and the team spirit together, I think we lost that a little too early the last time we went up.
'I think we have got to add quality, we have got to add players and Premier League players because it’s a tough tough league. It’s a different ball game we’re going into, so hopefully we can learn a little bit from last time.'
