THE MANCHESTER DERBY descended into chaos after a coming together involving England team-mates Kyle Walker and Harry Maguire.

The pair had a blazing row after a coming together between Walker and Rasmus Hojlund.

Hojlund was bundled to the floor in a challenge and got up quickly to confront the Manchester City defender.

The pair went face-to-face and pushed their heads into one another, causing Walker to drop to the floor.

Maguire was not happy with his playacting and quickly got involved.

He stormed over to berate his England team-mate but was soon stopped in his tracks by Erling Haaland and Ederson.

That sparked a huge melee between both sets of players with Magurie having to be held back.

Gary Neville slammed Walker's behaviour as "embarrassing" as there was minimal contact between him and Hojlund.

He said during commentary: "I did this in a derby against McManaman many years ago and got sent off for it,' Neville said. 'It's whether he's made that rock of his head forward.

"Walker's pushed him over and tripped him. I'm not sure, no. It's poor from Walker, the initial contact he doesn't go down on. He'll be a little bit embarrassed when he sees that back."

Both players were booked for their role in the incident with some fans claiming Walker was lucky to avoid a red card, given he went unpunished for his initial challenge.

One fan said: "Should be sent off. That’s two yellows. The kick and the simulation."
