Gary Neville believes Manchester United youngster Mason Greenwood is 'a real star' and said he doesn't expect the teenager to fade away like Adnan Januzaj.
Greenwood has scored 12 goals for United this season, a tally which makes him their third top scorer behind Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
And Neville is tipping the 18-year-old to achieve great things at Old Trafford, comparing his level to that of Rashford when he broke onto the scene under Louis van Gaal in 2016.
"I think Mason Greenwood is an outstanding player - the equal of Rashford at his age," Neville told Sky Sports. "In different ways more composed, a little more classy and less raw,
"He looks well above his age group in the composure he is displaying, his temperament. I think Manchester United have got a real star there."
Neville admitted he has been wrong about young talent in the past but doesn't expect Greenwood to fail to realise his potential.
"We have been wrong before," he added. "We have talked about Januzaj - I thought he was going to be world-class until he fell away.
"But there is just something about Greenwood that makes me feel like he is the real thing."
