Napoli head coach Gennaro Gattuso has decided to defer his salary for one month to help the club's employees during the coronavirus crisis.
Following his gesture, the rest of the club's non-playing employees will be able to receive their full April wages.
Gattuso replaced Carlo Ancelotti back in December but he hadn't managed to better his predecessor prior to the health crisis that brought football to a halt.
Napoli are out of the title race but may get the chance to progress in the Champions League in the event that the European tournament gets back underway.
The Partenopei drew 1-1 against Barcelona in the first leg of their last-16 tie back in February, with a return leg pending when sporting action resumes.
