According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, details surrounding Norton-Cuffy's departure from Genoa have emerged. Alan Redmond, Executive Vice President of Roc Nation Sports International, discussed the transfer in an interview with Adnkronos.
Redmond explained why the defender left Italy to join Hull City, despite his strong connection to the environment at Genoa and his successful adaptation to the local scene. "He could have stayed in Serie A. He liked Italy, the city, and got along very well with De Rossi," the agent said. However, the player's own desire ultimately proved decisive. "In the end, the allure of the Premier League was too strong, and he decided to return to England," Redmond concluded.
