Steven Gerrard's career as a footballer and now a manager are well documented but the Liverpool legend will open up about his life in an upcoming documentary.

On Thursday it was announced that Amazon will broadcast 'the definitive account of the life and times of the legendary Steven Gerrard'.

Titled MAKE US DREAM, the documentary biopic will initially be out in cinemas on November 15 before coming exclusively to Prime Video.

In the one minute and 50 second trailer for the upcoming film, football fans can watch Gerrard's rise from a boy to man.

Footage shows, the now Rangers manager playing football as a kid before bursting on to the scene at Liverpool and becoming a club icon.

With Gerrard narrating, supporters can get a first-hand take as snippets are revealed by Gerrard on the highs of winning the Champions League in 2005 as well as the inner conflict of staying loyal to his boyhood club during his heyday - with Chelsea among his suitors.

The trailer also references the 2013-14 season - a campaign that saw league leaders Liverpool squander the Premier League title and a moment that Gerrard describes as a 'cruel setback'.

A 2-0 home defeat by Chelsea handed eventual champions Manchester City the advantage with two games remaining of the season. This match was infamous for Gerrard's slip which allowed Demba Ba to score the visitors' first.
