An alkaline water company partly owned by former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard was recognised at an awards ceremony in Liverpool city centre.
Angel Revive, partially owned by Steven Gerrard, was named e-commerce company of the year at the The Fitness Professional Awards on Saturday night.
Steven, who now manages Rangers FC, could not attend the event due to a home game on Sunday but his wife Alex did attend and Steven delivered a personal video message to the audience at the Hilton hotel.
The Rangers boss said how proud he was to accept the award on behalf of Angel Revive and encouraged the audience to 'get drunk and enjoy themselves.'
The start-up was founded by Netherton man Mark Doyle after he discovered a natural spring deep in West Lancashire. The water is now available in hundreds of shops across the country including the WH Smiths.
Mark said: "We were proud to be recognised at this prestigious event. Steven is a committed partner and always has time for the business. "
