Despite his ankle injury, Harry Kane looks to be having a fine weekend - he has arrived in Atlanta for the Super Bowl after his Tottenham team mates claimed a crucial win.

The England captain, who is recovering from a knock which will keep him out until March, has used his time off to travel across the Atlantic for the biggest game in the American football calendar.

Kane was pictured taking to former football stars Osi Umenyiora and Jason Bell, who along with Mark Chapman will front the BBC's coverage of the event.

Kane looked to be in good spirits, chatting and laughing with Bell and Umenyiora, and enjoying his time stateside.

His mood will have been boosted by Tottenham earning a hard-fought 1-0 win at home to Newcastle, thanks to Son Heung-Min's late winner.

Tottenham looked to lack an attacking edge for much of the game, in Kane's absence, however the three points keep them in touch with Liverpool and Manchester City in the title race.

Earlier, Kane shared a video of his journey to the Super Bowl with his 7.8 million Instagram followers.

The video shows the 25-year-old make himself comfortable on the lavish jet while flicking through a magazine.

The  forward is a big fan of the NFL, and an avid supporter of the New England Patriots, who take on the Los Angeles Rams in the showpiece.

Kane is far from the only sports star to make the pilgrimage to Atlanta, with sprint legend Usain Bolt posting a picture from pitch side at the Merdeces-Benz Arena.

The Jamaican sprinter has been in the city all weekend, and on Saturday equalled the combine record for a 40-yard dash.

At a fan event, the multiple Olympic medallist set a time of 4.22 seconds, matching the time set by Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver John Ross at the 2017 NFL combine, where potential draft picks are put through a number of drills.
