Nabil Fekir's former agent has rubbished claims from the French player that Liverpool 'lied' about why the potential transfer was culled last summer.
Fekir underwent a customary medical at Liverpool in the summer of 2018, but the European champions pulled the plug on the deal after problems with his knee surfaced
The French winger, who made a shock move to Real Betis in June, rubbished those claims, saying 'lots of lies were told', but his agent at the time Jean-Pierre Bernes stated there were no lies on Liverpool's part.
Speaking to French outlet L'Equipe, Bernes said: "He has to stop this show and stop taking people for fools. Everyone knows what happened.
"The transfer to Liverpool has turned around for two reasons. The first is his knee, even though the English club's leaders were willing to make an effort on this.
"The second is the appearance of a foreign pseudo-representative who asked for the negotiations to be resumed from the beginning at the moment of signing.
"Between this episode and the medical visit, Liverpool's leaders decided to abandon the case."
