Liverpool are into the final of the invitational ePremier League tournament - and Reds fans are loving it.
Trent Alexander-Arnold came from two goals down on EA Sports' FIFA 20 against former Anfield and Manchester City star Raheem Sterling to win 3-2 in extra-time thanks to a stunning golden goal.
The win means Alexander-Arnold will be back in action in the final this afternoon.
“That was shambolic,” said Sterling at full time.
“Fair play, because he won. I should have finished that game off but he has won it
“Good luck, Trent. Go win the final. For sure, [I want Trent to win it]. Good luck in the final.”
Alexander-Arnold said after the game: “That was a big win. It was tough, honestly. At the start of the game, there was a massive lag and he scored two goals. I was gutted.
“He was hard to break down and he defended so well but I was able to get two goals and then win it with the rebound.”
“He tested me all the way, but I got the win in the end. Good game."
The win comes after Sterling warned Alexander-Arnold that there was no chance he would be beaten in the tournament's semi-final, despite Trent beating him on a number of occasions on FIFA.
Here is how Liverpool fans reacted to the result on social media...
"Sterling must hate Anfield."
"Hahahaha, Sterling is fuming!"
"Liverpool are all about amazing semi-final comebacks..."
"Sterling still hasn't won at Anfield as a City player."
"Man city still can't win at Anfield on FIFA."
"Sterling choked once again while facing LFC."
"Klopp's never say die attitude is doing wonders even in virtual games. What a time to be alive!!"
