Henry: Barca lacks balance, I prefer Bayern or Arsenal to win the title

Henry has questioned Barcelona's Champions League competitiveness this season, suggesting that Arsenal and Bayern Munich have a better chance of winning the title.

Barca were on the verge of a 1-0 defeat in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against Newcastle United on Tuesday night, but Yamal's late penalty earned Flick's side a 1-1 draw at St James' Park.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich produced an impressive display, winning 6-1 away against Atalanta. Even with Kane still recovering from a calf injury and placed on the bench, the Bundesliga champions won easily.

Arsenal are the only team to have won all eight of their Champions League group stage matches, and they will travel to Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday night for the first leg of their last-16 tie.

After Arsenal's result, Henry questioned Barca's ability to perform consistently, suggesting Bayern and Arsenal are stronger contenders for the Champions League title.

"I think Bayern are much more balanced than Barca in terms of attacking and defensive transitions, and their overall structure," Henry told CBS Sports.

"You see that, whoever it is - a winger cutting inside, a striker operating on the right like Jackson, they all know what they have to do, they press well, and they are very difficult to beat most of the time."

"But Barca are sometimes too inconsistent, they lost 0-4 to Atletico Madrid in Copa del Rey, the score could have been 0-6, 0-7; then they can come back and make it 6-0, 7-0, 8-0 at home."

"If they want to win the title and be considered the biggest favorite, they have to find consistency and balance - I still think they are one of the favorites."

"But the lack of that balance makes me slightly favor Bayern and Arsenal."

Carragher added: "I think Bayern or Arsenal will be stronger than Barca."
