According to a report by Foot Mercato and information from Relevo, Carlos Soler’s (27) departure from Paris Saint-Germain for West Ham is close. The Spanish midfielder is expected to arrive in London on a loan with an option to buy for €20 million. A figure that is slightly lower than the previous estimates of €23 million.
West Ham had been close to securing this move earlier in the window but after a busy summer which had seen the club buy multiple players, there was a need to sell before they could buy Soler. Foot Mercato now writes this impediment has been lifted and the deal could be back on for the Spanish midfielder.
The role of West Ham’s new manager Julen Lopetegui has been pivotal in pushing this move forward, with the former Spain national team manager a big admirer of the midfielder.
