Hertha Berlin goalkeeper Rune Jarstein had a nightmare in the Bundesliga on Wednesday, as he let slip a shot from Patrik Schick that he had actually already saved!
Red Bull Leipzig striker Schick shot powerfully with his left-foot down low to Jarstein's left, but what looked like a decent save turned into a howler.
Inadvertently, the Hertha keeper knocked the ball from his grasp backwards with his hand, and the ball dribbled into the goal - which handed Leipzig a 2-1 lead on the night.
However, fortunately for the 35-year-old Norwegian keeper, it wasn't fatal as a late penalty from Krzysztof Piatek salvaged a point for the visitors at the Red Bull Arena, in a game where they were more than a match for high-flying Leipzig.
Users on social media could not believe the error, with one saying it was 'one of the worst blunders I've ever seen.'
Another said: 'Hertha Berlin keeper channelling his inner Rob Green with that one.'
On-loan Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic gave Hertha the lead, volleying in from a corner in the ninth minute.
But the hosts were level 15 minutes later, as they themselves scored from a corner as centre back Lukas Klostermann headed into the far corner.
Yet after the interval, Leipzig were down to 10 men after defender Marcel Halstenberg was sent-off after picking up two yellow cards.
Jarstein's howler gifted Leipzig the lead, but Hertha Berlin finished the contest strongly and were fully deserving of their equaliser from the spot.
The result puts Hertha in 10th on 35 points, while Leipzig stay in third, two points behind Borussia Dortmund in second place and a further nine behind leaders Bayern Munich.
