Hirving Lozano 'removed from training by Gattuso for showing lack of commitment'

Napoli winger Hirving Lozano was removed from training by boss Gennaro Gattuso after showing a 'lack of commitment' and appeared to be 'unwilling' during sessions, according to reports in Italy.

The Mexican has struggled to find any sort of form since making the move from PSV last summer and has fallen further out of favour since Gattuso's arrival in December.

And now it appears that Lozano's time at the Napolitano club could be coming to an end after showing a lack of effort during training, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper have claimed that the 24-year-old was 'apathetic' during training, which led to him being kicked out, with his future at the club now in doubt.

News of a falling out in Naples could lead to Everton and Manchester United to make a move for Lozano, with the Premier League duo registering their interest in recent months.

Reports last month suggested that Napoli are in no rush to sell the 24-year-old, who only joined for a club record fee of £33million last summer.

However, the Serie A outfit may consider offers for Lozano now and will reportedly demand a fee of £43m to take him off their hands.

Since making the move to Italy, Lozano has made 28 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists.

However, Lozano has managed just one start under Gattuso reign with a number of his appearances coming from the bench.
