After losing their first Group F match, Manchester City got off the mark at the second attempt in this season's Champions League.

Manchester City recovered from an abysmal start to end a run of four consecutive Champions League defeats with a 2-1 victory at Hoffenheim.
Pep Guardiola's side, who suffered a 2-1 loss at home to Lyon in their Group F opener, fell behind inside 44 seconds on Tuesday.
But the Premier League champions bounced back to end the longest losing streak of an English side in the competition's history.
City, who were beaten in their last-16 second-leg clash with Basel before losing twice to Liverpool in the quarter-finals last season, quickly levelled through Sergio Aguero.
And the turnaround was completed late on courtesy of David Silva's opportunistic strike just three minutes from time.

They go a goal up within 60 seconds as the midfielder breaks free of the defensive trap to latch onto a throughball from Demirbay on the right side of the box, which he duly slots past Ederson into the bottom-right corner.

Sane races around the Hoffenheim defence to pick up a wonderful throughball slotted into the left of the box. Baumann comes out to meet him, six yards away, but the Germany international simply cuts it back to the Argentine who, after a sloppy first touch, pokes home into an open net. All level again in this Champions League encounter.
15' WHAT A CHANCE missed by Sterling!
Sterling executes a wonderful counter-attack for City, weaving around four defenders before going one-on-one with Baumann. His shot takes a deflection off the boots of the keeper and drifts out for a corner on the left.

Some fabulous skill from Sane sees him carve a path around four defenders before playing a wide ball to Aguero at the right post. The Argentina man can't keep his shot down at the tight angle though and hooks it wide to the left.

Baumann makes a cracking save at his right post, pushing an curling Aguero effort wide to the left, before City concede a free-kick from a Laporte foul.

The Argentine meets a lovely cross with Baumann out of place; yet his header is terrible and the keeper manages to recover in time to keep it out.

Hoffenheim have escaped there! Sane races onto a throughball in the opposition box, and Baumann dives towards it, sending the City man sprawling. The visitors think it's a clear penalty - and replays show no contact with the ball from the keeper - yet the referee instead awards a goal-kick. What a moment that could be.

The visitors score as the Spaniard nips in to steal a cross sent straight to Posch from under the defender's feet before he turns on a dime and fires home behind Baumann. What a crushing moment for Hoffenheim; what pure elation for City.
