The Spanish Super Cup is about to get underway with the 40th edition of the competition taking place in Saudi Arabia between 10-14 January. Cross-city rivals Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid will play the first semi-final on Wednesday 10 January. The second semi-final is between Barcelona and Osasuna and will be played a day later, on Thursday 11 January. The final is scheduled for Sunday 14 January.
LaLiga dates change
The four Spanish teams have had their matches postponed for matchday 20 of LaLiga 2023-24. Barça and Osasuna face each other on that matchday and will play their postponed match on Tuesday 30 January. Atlético will play Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday 31 January and Real Madrid will take on Getafe on Thursday 1 February.

Real Madrid have lifted the Spanish Super Cup twelve times. Catalan rivals Barcelona lead the way on 14 Spanish Super Cup victories, with northern clubs Athletic Club and Deportivo La Coruña coming after Madrid with three each.
