Emery has a number of key selection decisions to make ahead of the Arsenal's opening URL group stage match against Frankfurt.

Arsenal have left Ozil and Sokratis at home. Meanwhile, Lacazette still missing through an ankle injury and not expected to return before October.

Emery is expected to rotate for Europa League commitments this season, with Aston Villa at home to come on Sunday, and Holding should get some minutes returning from injury. David Luiz could be rotated in favour of Chambers and Mustafi.

Holding has been sidelined with knee ligament damage since December and has been back in training for some time. However, Mavropanos, Tierney and Bellerin remain sidelined.

Xhaka and Guendouzi look to be Emery's first-choice midfield pairing in Premier League matches so Torreira is expected to come in for the Gunners' opening European game of the season.

Arsenal's predicted line-up

Arsenal XI: Leno; Maitland-Niles, Chambers, Mustafi, Holding, Kolasinac; Willock, Torreira; Pepe, Nelson, Aubameyang
