Huddersfield close in on signing of Charlton's Karlan Grant for £2m

Huddersfield Town are closing on a £2million deal for Charlton Athletic striker Karlan Grant.

The 21-year-old is out of contract in the summer and also had interest from West Brom.

Charlton boss Lee Bowyer wants to keep hold of Grant, who has scored 14 goals in League One this season.

It has been reported that Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is also interested in signing Grant.

West Brom and Middlesbrough are two other sides who have been linked with a move for the striker.

Should Grant sign for Huddersfield he will enter a relegation scrap with them bottom of the Premier League and 10 points from safety.
