Chelsea hung on at Hull to book their place in the last 16 of the FA Cup, a competition their head coach Frank Lampard has won four times.

Michy Batshuayi and Fikayo Tomori sent Chelsea through to the FA Cup fifth round with a 2-1 win at Hull City.
An early opener from striker Batshuayi calmed any Chelsea nerves, before Tomori's header stretched their lead in the second half.
Hull's reply was a fortunate one, Kamil Grosicki's free-kick taking a giant deflection off Mateo Kovacic.
The hosts began to believe they could force a replay, but Chelsea withstood the late scare to clinch a place in the last 16 of the competition.

The Hull players drop back and give Pedro a lot of space on the left and he picks out Batshuayi with a great long ball over the top.
The forward is at a tight angle when he takes the shot and a deflection off Burke takes it into the side netting.

Barkley makes a great run into the box that isn't spotted by the home side and gets on the end of Mount's throughball.
He takes the shot first time, but Long is quickly off his line to close him down and make the block.

Kovacic plays another brilliant pass into the box to pick out Mount's run into the box.
His second touch takes it away from him but he recovers well to get his shot away and Long gets a strong hand to it to deny him.

It's a great cross into the box by Alonso on the left and Azpilicueta chests it down.
He runs onto it and hits his shot towards the near post, and Long gets two hands to the shot to push it away.

Kane is standing over the free-kick and he goes for goal himself. He curls his effort over the wall and is looking for the top-left corner, but it's just wide of the near post.
59' CLOSE! Bowen's shot over the bar
Bowen brings the ball down brilliantly with his first touch and plays the ball through Alonso's legs to carry on his run.
He gets into the box and lifts his shot over the goalkeeper, but sends it over the crossbar as well.

It's a wonderful free-kick from Barkley that floats over all the players in the box towards the far post.
Tomori's run isn't picked up and he sends his shot under Long's outstretched arm and into the back of the net.

Willian catches out the Hull defenders by squaring the ball back to Pedro. His first touch is a good one and he tries to drill his effort across goal and into the bottom-right corner but sends his effort just wide.
78' GOAL! Hull City 1-2 Chelsea (Grosicki)
Grosicki steps up to take the free-kick and it's not the best strike. Kovacic jumps out on the edge of the wall and it takes a big deflection off him which takes it curling past Caballero and past Caballero into the far side of the net.
