'I have my tickets!': Real Madrid fan Nadal confirms he WILL attend UCL final

Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal has confirmed he'll be attending the Champions League Final on May 28th despite being scheduled to compete in Roland Garros.

The Real Madrid fan and 21-time Grand Slam champion takes on the Australian Jordan Thompson in the 1st Round of the French Open as he looks to win the title for a record 14th time.

However, Nadal may run into difficulties as the Final date could clash with a fixture of his own later into the tournament.

The Spaniard confirmed 'I am here to play Roland Garros...but I have my tickets ready.'

The Real Madrid supporter expressed his desire to attend his club's first Champions League Final since the 2017/18 season - where they triumphed over their upcoming opponents 3-1.

However the fixture looks to coincide with the 3rd Round of the French Open which is scheduled to take place over the 27th and 28th of May.

The 'King of Clay' will be looking to win back the French Open title after last year's defeat to Stefano Tsitsipas prevented the Spaniard from retaining the championship five years in a row.

Coincidentally Real Madrid will be looking to win the Champions League for a 14th time as well - as they look to repeat the victory in their previous final meeting with Jurgen Klopp's side.

The final was initially meant to be held at the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg  but due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict it was relocated to the Stade de France in Saint-Denis - a short journey away from the Stade Roland Garros.
