Pepe joined Arsenal from Lille on Thursday for a club record fee of £72million. Lille coach Christophe Galtier said he was thinking of Bayern Munich on Pepe's transfer.
"I was thinking of Bayern Munich because I knew Ribéry and Robben were going to stop.
"I saw him doing well there but he chose Arsenal.
"He won’t discover the Champions League next season, but we are going to follow him"
