Freddie Ljungberg has vowed to put 'smiles on faces' after being announced as Arsenal's interim manager following Unai Emery's sacking.
Emery was sacked on Friday morning following a rapid downturn in form under his guidance this season. Ljungberg, his No 2, replaces him on an interim basis while the club searches for a long-term replacement.
'However long I oversee Arsenal for I will give everything I have to put smiles on faces again,' Ljungberg said on Twitter.
'We have a busy few weeks ahead and the team needs your support. Let’s get to work!'
