Mauro Icardi will reportedly miss Inter’s Serie A game against Sampdoria on Saturday with an ankle injury.
Icardi checked in for Inter training on Thursday morning, but Sport Mediaset claims the striker did not work out and instead ‘received treatment for an ankle problem’.
As a result, the Argentine is not expected to be fit in time for the visit of Samp at San Siro.
The 25-year-old looks to have been spared a hostile reception after he pulled out of the Nerazzurri’s squad to face Rapid Vienna upon learning he was no longer captain.
