This is the special cake which was made to celebrate Jimmy Greaves’ 80th birthday on Thursday. The former England and Tottenham legend, who won 57 caps, spent the day surrounded by his family.
It was planned to cut the cake, which was made by Claire’s Cakes Essex, during a get-together in the afternoon.
There has been an overwhelming response to Sportsmail’s campaign to have Greaves knighted. On Thursday night the number of signatures stood at more than 26,000.
On Wednesday night Jimmy's son Danny was presented with a commemorative shirt by Harry Kane on the eve of the England great's birthday.
The presentation was made before Spurs' 1-0 loss to Red Bull Leipzig in the Champions League round of 16 first leg, and Rio Ferdinand and Glenn Hoddle sung Jimmy's praises.
'Incredible goal scorer, he really was,' Hoddle said. 'When you say about great players it’s when you’re on the edge of your seat, the whole crowd. George Best had it, Bobby Charlton.
'But Jimmy Greaves, when he was in possession, the stadium changed. He was electrifying and what a finisher. Right foot, left foot. Magnificent player.
Rio Ferdinand added: 'It was the first autobiography I ever read as a kid. It was so enjoyable. It was probably the only book I enjoyed and was really engrossed in at that point. Some great stories in there and what a fabulous footballer he was.'
