Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas has ranked Manchester City's Ederson as the second best goalkeeper in the world and he omitted Liverpool star Alisson from his top-five list.
Ederson has been a revelation since joining Pep Guardiola's side five years ago, with his ability to play with his feet just one of his standout abilities.
The 29-year-old has now won three consecutive Golden Glove awards during his time in the Premier League, having picked up the big prize alongside Alisson in May.
Ederson's ability has not missed the eyes of Casillas, who ranked the City keeper as the second best in his position as part of a feature with 433.
In first place was current Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois following his heroics in the knockout stages of the Champions league last season.
At number three, Casillas chose Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak, then fellow LaLiga goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen of Barcelona in fourth.
Bayern Munich and Germany legend Manuel Neuer took the last place in the top-five list.
Casillas decision to omit Premier League goalkeepers Alisson and Chelsea's Edouard Mendy might cause some controversy.
The pair have been heavily credited for their role in their respective club's recent success on the pitch.
Alongside Ederson, Alisson is deemed to be amongst the best goalkeepers in the league. The 29-year-old is even picked ahead of the City man in the Brazil national team.
Meanwhile, Mendy put in superb performances as Chelsea won the Champions League for the second time in May 2021.
The Senegalese star went on to pick up the UEFA Goalkeeper of the Season award before winning the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.
Ederson will return to the pitch once again when Manchester City host Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Guardiola's side were due to take on Tottenham this weekend but all games were postponed following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
