Inter are on the verge of completing the signing of Italian international midfielder Stefano Sensi, Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia's transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

According to the report, Inter have overtaken cross town rivals AC Milan and are very close to signing the Sassuolo player on a loan deal for €5 million with an option to buy set at around €22-25 million. Inter have also included youth team striker Edoardo Vergani born in 2001, in the offer to bring the cash part of the payment down.

Furthermore, according to the report, Inter have agreed terms with the player in terms of wages and duration of the contract, but no details regarding this is mentioned.

The deal is very reminiscent of the deal that saw Matteo Politano join Inter on loan last summer, but which was made permanent a few days ago.

Today, a meeting was held at Inter's new offices between representatives of the Nerazzurri, Sassuolo and the player's agent Beppe Riso who described the talks to “have a good feeling.”

Di Marzio concludes that the signing of Sensi does not exclude the Nerazzurri from trying to sign Nicolo Barella from Cagliari.
