Inter goalkeeper André Onana has spoken ahead of the Champions League final, stating that Inter must always aim to win games.

Onana arrived at Inter on a free transfer in the summer transfer window after his contract at Ajax expired. He has been hugely impressive for the Nerazzurri, becoming one of the best goalkeepers in Europe.

He starts for the side against City in the final and ahead of the clash, he spoke to Sky Italia (via FCInter1908) about the Nerazzurri’s chances and how they want to approach the game later today.

The Cameroon international said: “The ambition is to win, we are a strong team, we are Inter and we must always win. They the strongest team in the world, but we are Inter. The final is not played yet. It will be the most difficult match in the last 5-10 years but we know how to play and if we work well we can return to Milan with the UCL trophy."

He further stated: “We are the most important, not City: we have to do our job, play well, defend well and without fear. The most important thing is to win today: I don’t know how, but we have to win!”

Inter have already won two titles this season – the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana and they will be playing in their first Champions League final since 2010. Onana is proven to be the key factor in Inter Milan, and he is very vital for Inter to fight against City, who are generally considered to be the best team in the world right now.
