Is Chelsea vs AFC Wimbledon on TV? How to follow Carabao Cup fixture and watch goals

Chelsea news as Mauricio Pochettino's side play AFC Wimbledon at Stamford Bridge in the second round of the Carabao Cup after beating Luton Town in the Premier League last time out

Chelsea return to action when they play AFC Wimbledon in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

Mauricio Pochettino's side kickstarted their campaign with a 3-0 defeat of Luton Town on Friday night with Raheem Sterling at the double and Nicolas Jackson netting too. Chelsea had previously lost to West Ham United and drawn with Liverpool in an inconsistent start to Pochettino's reign as Blues boss.

However, the arrival of Wimbledon to Stamford Bridge presents Chelsea with another chance to seal a Stamford Bridge win and continue to build momentum ahead of their clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Chelsea's game against Wimbledon is not being broadcast on television despite the attraction of a London derby to broadcasters and the potential for an upset given it's a Premier League game against League Two opposition.

Clubs cannot screen Carabao Cup games themselves meaning a streaming service is not able to be provided. Sky Sports opted to fill their two slots for matches with Salford City vs Leeds United on Tuesday and Doncaster Rovers vs Everton the following day.

UK-based supporters of either team can see the goals as they go in on Sky Sports' soccer special programme on Wednesday evening or follow football.london's live blog with reporters Scott Trotter and Bobby Vincent set to attend the match. Radio station talkSPORT 2 will be broadcasting commentary of the game on DAB and AM frequencies.

The second round of the Carabao Cup is unfamiliar territory for Chelsea, who are participating in the competition at this stage because of a lack of European football this season.
