Darmian needed only a few days of training to impress everyone at Bologna and quickly secured a starting spot. The former Internazionale defender is now preparing to face his old club, where he won 9 trophies and made 218 appearances over six seasons.
At Internazionale, Darmian was often deployed as a versatile player, capable of playing as a wide midfielder on both flanks or as a wide center-back in a three-man defense. At Bologna, he is expected to become a regular starter, especially if he earns his second consecutive start against his former club.
