Eric Bailly will likely be back in the starting line-up for the clash with Egypt, having sat out the final group-stage match against Algeria after sustaining a head injury in the previous game.

Predicted Ivory Coast starting XI: Sangare, Aurier, Bailly, Deli, Konan, Sangare, Seri, Kessie, Pepe, Haller, Zaha.

Akram Tawfik is out after suffering a cruciate ligament rupture in Egypt's opening match of the competition, but Carlos Queiroz's team have no fresh injury or suspension concerns.

Predicted Egypt starting XI: El Shenawy, Kamal, Hegazy, Abdelmonem, Ashraf, Elneny, Soleya, Said, Salah, Mohamed, Marmoush.

Ivory Coast is favourite to beat Egypt at 5/4 (2.25) with bet365. At 11/4 (3.75) to win, Egypt are seen as the underdogs.

Mohamed Salah is 9/2 (5.5) to be first goalscorer, while Nicolas Pepe is rated 11/2 (6.5).

This match puts one of the group stage's top scorers against a stubborn defence, so the margins are thin when it comes to odds on goals, but backing there to be two or three goals in the game at Evens (2.0) may be a smart bet.

Ivory Coast have had a strong start to the Afcon campaign, adding to their fine form over the last year - Beaumelle's team have lost just one match in the last 12 months.

A strong showing at the competition can start to heal the nation's wounds following the disappointment of failing to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

Egypt, however, are still in with a chance of qualifying for the tournament in Qatar and can boost their credentials by overcoming one of Africa's stronger sides this week.
