Manchester City star Jack Grealish has revealed the changing room was very quiet during the half-time break of their 4-2 victory over Tottenham.
Pep Guardiola's City were trailing 2-0 at the break thanks to goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Emerson Royal at the Etihad Stadium.
City came out for the second-half on fire and hit back with four second-half goals through Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland and two strikes from Riyad Mahrez.
'I thought we actually did all right in the first half, we had the better chances but like last week we conceded a goal,' Grealish told Sky Sports.
'Obviously it was not the best dressing room at half-time, it was silent for a while.
'I wasn't thinking about the table, Just the game. Since I've been here I've lost both games against Spurs. Riyad was on fire and he helped us.'
The England international also insisted that they knew it would be a tough contest with Spurs defensive strategy.
'Tottenham have five at back so it was going to be difficult. They like to double up, so as a winger it is hard, but it got easier in the second half.'
Grealish pulled off a huge challenge on Son Heung-min, as the Spurs attacker raced forward on the counter attack during the match.
'Obviously we gotta do it,' Grealish replied when he was asked about making a tackle as a winger.
'Son is so good at breaking away so I put a tackle in. Anything could have happened but lucky it worked out.
Mahrez, who notched two goals during the match, reiterated Grealish's comments about bouncing back after the half-time break.
He added: 'I thought we played good in the first half so when we came back we were frustrated.
'The manager spoke to us and we knew we could come back. We showed what we are.
'We scored two goals early and it put us in a great position. I think we deserved to win. It was a good night.'
