Key stats
Dortmund’s second-youngest foreign-born debutant, Sancho made his first appearance in the Bundesliga in a 2-2 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt, aged 17 years, six months and 26 days old. Since that October weekend, the former Manchester City forward made 12 total appearances in the 2017/18 season. He provided four assists and scored one magical goal. The Londoner bagged his first strike, and added two assists in a dream game against Bayer Leverkusen in April this year. Sancho played 658 Bundesliga minutes last season, and had 470 touches in what was a sure sign that the future is bright in Dortmund for the Englishman.
Plays a bit like: Neymar
Growing up with Ronaldinho as your idol can mean only one thing: you’re skillful. Sancho’s trickery has meant that every time he touches the ball, fans slowly nudge to the edge of their seats. His electrifying pace, dribbling skill and shear lack of fear when taking on his marker shows talent far beyond his tender years. With a clear eye for an assist, Sancho himself wants to add more goal-mouth action to his game. A self-confessed entertainer, the 5"9' tall winger is like Neymar in that he brings excitement to the game with his unique talent.
Did you know?
Sancho was named Player of the Tournament at the U17 UEFA EURO 2017 after scoring five goals and laying on five assists – an award also won by the likes of Mario Götze, Toni Kroos, Cesc Fabregas and Wayne Rooney.
What they’re saying

“I wasn’t that far developed at his age. How he controls the ball to set-up the 3-0 (against Leverkusen), that shows everything. I have so much respect!” - Marco Reus
“He was on our radar and we were very interested in him at Cologne. Jadon is a very, very talented lad, a real livewire. He has a real quality.” - Former Dortmund coach Peter Stöger
