James Rodriguez: I want to win with Colombia

James Rodriguez still has dreams of winning silverware with Colombia.

The Everton player hasn't had the easiest of times since moving to the Premier League, largely due to injury concerns, but he'll have the chance to win the Copa America this coming summer, with his native Colombia being one of the hosts.

"[My dream is] to win a trophy," James told La Linterna. "I've already achieved a lot of important things with the shirt, so why not win a trophy?

"It's my dream, but also one that's shared by all of the guys in the squad."

Fellow countryman Radamel Falcao is someone that James has a good relationship with. Having been his club teammate in the past, too, James hopes that the ex-Atletico Madrid forward continues to play for Colombia for a while to come.

"It makes me proud to play with him," James said. "We also played together with Porto and Monaco.

"He's a person I admire a lot and I'm proud to have shared a lot with him. I hope he'll be with the national team for a lot longer."

Beyond winning with Colombia, the Everton star has some more personal goals that he came close to in the past.

"I want to be part of a FIFA World XI," James said. "I was close. I now that it's more difficult now because there's a lot of competition, but I'm a good age.

"I was eighth in the Ballon d'Or. I was close. It's something I regret."
