James would fit perfectly in Premier League, says former Monaco star Restrepo

Bayern Munich remain in pole position to secure the long-term future of James Rodriguez as per their loan agreement with Real Madrid, yet the midfielder's adoptive father has suggested he would fit perfectly in the Premier League.

A decision hasn't yet been made by the Bavarian giants as to whether or not they will take up their purchase option on the former Monaco star, yet with Zinedine Zidane having returned to Los Blancos it seems impossible he could return there.

"I think he would fit perfectly in the Premier League," Restrepo admitted in an interview with MARCA Claro.

"When the rumours came out a few days ago about several clubs in England, I asked him about the subject.

"He told me there wasn't an official offer, and he doesn't know if Bayern will make one either."

Juventus are expected to be busy in the transfer market once again, with Cristiano Ronaldo having been frustrated at their Champions League exit, and they too have been linked with James.

"In Italy I heard a rumour about Juventus," Restrepo intimated.

"Juventus are a very interesting possibility, they are a top club and always a candidate to win the Champions League.

"James also has acquaintances there."
