Jamie Carragher couldn't help but mock Gary Neville about the time Cristiano Ronaldo snubbed him while discussing the Manchester United forward on The Overlap.
Ronaldo decided to snub Neville ahead of United's s Premier League clash with West Ham in October after the Sky Sports pundit had criticised him for storming down the tunnel during against Tottenham.
Carragher joked that Neville is desperate to get back in Ronaldo's good books after he said United would be 'better without' the forward and that the Premier League giants should 'end their relationship' with him.
Neville and Carragher were discussing Ronaldo's situation at Manchester United on The Overlap earlier this week.
The former Liverpool defender couldn't help but mock his Sky Sports colleague when he began talking about what he 'wanted' from Ronaldo.
Neville began talking and said: 'Do you know what I really hope about Cristiano Ronaldo', before Carragher cut him off.
The former Liverpool defender joked: 'What, shake your hand?' to which the entire studio burst out laughing.
Neville joined in on the gag by mocking himself. He pretended to beg and said: 'Please Ronaldo' while making a prayer gesture.
Carragher couldn't help but make a jab at Neville by saying: 'You bottled that one didn't you?' to which his colleague responded: 'Have you watched your clip back?'.
Carragher - who looked close to crying with laughter - said: 'I don't mind! He's not my mate, he's your mate'.
Neville snapped back saying: 'He's not my mate!' to which Carragher jokingly replied saying: 'He's not now'.
Neville laughed before continuing on with his initial point, saying: 'No seriously, do you know I think he should do? I think he should actually speak. No one has heard him speak for six months. You don't hear from him.'
Ronaldo was not happy with Neville's comments ahead of the West Ham game and made his feelings known.
The 37-year-old went over to see his former team-mate Louis Saha - who was working on the panel for Sky Sports.
Ronaldo embraced Saha before saying a quick hello to Jamie Redknapp. However, he bypassed Neville without saying a word.
After being blanked by the Portugal international, Neville said: 'We're off the Christmas card list aren't we?' .
Immediately after the event, James Carragher took to Twitter to say: 'Welcome to the, blanked by Ronaldo club Gary Neville'.
While on The Overlap, Neville also discussed Erik ten Hag's management of Ronaldo. The Sky Sports pundit said: 'I think he's handled it so well.
'I even thought Ole [Gunner Solskjaer] to an extent and [Ralf] Rangnick last season handle him quite well at times when he obviously wasn't happy.
'I think Erik ten Hag has handled it far better than most of us would have handled it.
'He's basically sailing the ship into the shore as I see it. I said a couple of weeks ago, I hope there has been a deal done that says in January you can leave. For both of them, Cristiano Ronaldo and the club.
'But they should make sure it looks really good until then so doesn't look like a mess. I am hoping this is what it is. He's playing, he's captain. It looks like they smoothed things over and then he leaves in January.'
