Jamie Vardy is making the most of the international break with a family trip to Disneyland Paris with his wife, Rebekah, and three kids.

The Leicester City forward retired from international football this Summer following England's impressive World Cup run in Russia. Vardy only featured four times for England at the tournament, with three of those appearances being from the bench.

While the lack of playing time obviously played into his decision, the main reasoning for Vardy was so he could spend more time with his kids.

When announcing his retirement, he told the Guardian: 'When you get selected, you want to be playing. And if it's not happening, then for me personally now, at this age, it's better to be at home, spending that time with my family.

'I just said to Gareth that I think it's probably best from now on, especially with the way he wants to go, to bring youngsters in who he thinks have got the ability and start nurturing them into international football.'

One youngster has already stepped up as Marcus Rashford dazzled under the Wembley lights, impressing with a goal despite England's 2-1 defeat to Spain.

Rashford probably needed the morale boost following his red card against Burnley for a silly headbutt. Vardy could probably do with the same following a disappointing start to the new Premier League season.

Things started reasonably well for Vardy on the opening day of the season as he came off the bench to grab a consolation goal in Leicester's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United. He then started the next match against Wolves only to be sent off early into the second half for a horrendous challenge on Matt Doherty.

Having now served his three match suspension, Vardy will return to action this weekend as Leicester travel down to Bournemouth in hopes of bouncing back from their loss to Liverpool.
