Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes Tammy Abraham must 'do better' to cement his place in Frank Lampard's starting XI.
Abraham has made just 14 appearances across all competitions following the arrival of Timo Werner and failed to prove his worth against Tottenham on Sunday.
Hasselbaink criticised Abraham for his inability to convert or Chelsea in their 0-0 draw against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.
He insists Abraham must use his 'stature' and 'ability' to score 'important goals' in order to secure his place as Chelsea's No 9.
Speaking after the game, Hasselbaink said: 'He has to improve in those moments. He did ever so well when he came in last season, for half of the season he was a breath of fresh air.
'Second-half he had it difficult but that's normal because he's a young boy.
'But second season he has to step up and at times he can do better.
'With his stature, with his ability, he can do better and score more important goals.
'Sometimes I wonder does he watch clips of himself after the game because certain times his movement can be better, his holding off can be better.
'He needs to keep on improving.'
