John Terry has returned to his former club, Chelsea, in order to get in shape ahead of his surprise move to Russia with Spartak Moscow.
The experienced defender was all smiles as he posed in a Chelsea kit at the club's Cobham Training Centre alongside former teammates Michael Essien and Jon Harley. Essien is also a free agent following a stint at Indonesian club Persib Bandung while Jon Harley is currently back at Chelsea at their academy's U18s Assistant Coach.
Terry himself became a free agent back in May earlier this as Aston Villa released him following their failure to gain promotion after their 1-0 loss to Fulham in the Championship playoff final.
The former Chelsea and England captain will have been reminiscing of his time at the London club where he made 492 appearances, the third most in their history.
During his time there he won five Premier League trophies, five FA Cups, three League Cups, a Champions League and a Europa League title.
Terry had a number of offers but has opted to join Spartak Moscow on a one-year contract. There will be an option to extend one year further in a tax-free deal estimated to be worth a whopping £3million a year.
The Englishman flew out to Rome on Friday night via private jet to quickly complete a medical before agreeing personal terms.
Spartak finished third in the Russian Premier League last season, earning a Europa League spot. Terry could soon face old rival Steven Gerrard once more as Moscow are due to face Rangers in the European competition.
