Slavisa Jokanovic admitted Fulham could sack him as they plummeted to the foot of the Premier League.
Monday night's fifth consecutive league defeat intensified pressure on Jokanovic, who bemoaned a lack of desire by his players as they went down 1-0 at Huddersfield Town.
'People know how I am working and my mentality, but it is not only in my hands,' the Serbian said. 'Part of the job is in the hands of my players, part is in the board's hands too.
'I remain confident. I personally trust in myself. I will push hard. The solution can be from another side, the board can have some different views. This is part of the board's responsibilities.'
Jokanovic suggested his players were 'scared' during a chastening evening at the John Smith's Stadium.
But he claimed they did not show enough fight, adding: 'My players had some words after the game but it is a little bit late then. We probably need more fight, more personality.
'I don't know whether it was preparation not being that good or if we didn't understand how important this game was.'
