Juve 'contact Eriksen over 2020 move' as Italian side eye ANOTHER free transfer

Juventus have sounded out Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen over joining them on a free transfer next summer when his Spurs contract expires., according to Mail.

The Italian giants have operated shrewdly in the transfer market in previous years, saving millions by swooping for Emre Can, Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot as they deal ran down.

And with Eriksen at an impasse with Tottenham over extending his deal, Juventus are hoping to repeat the trick.

The 27-year-old is eligible to discuss terms with Juventus in January, providing he doesn't sign a new contract with Spurs in the meantime.

Manchester United made moves to bring Eriksen to Old Trafford in the closing days of the recent transfer window but pulled the plug on a deal after it emerged he was holding out for a move to Spain.

And one could still materialise; the English window may have closed for any new arrivals but in Spain, clubs have until September 2 to complete any signings.
