Juventus are willing to offer both Daniele Rugani and Federico Bernardeschi to Wolves in an attempt to bring down the cost of a deal to buy striker Raul Jimenez, according to reports in Italy.

Several of Europe's leading clubs are in the hunt to sign the Mexican striker, who has scored 23 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions so far this season.

Jimenez initially joined the Midlands-based club on loan from Benfica and made his move permanent last summer for a fee of £37million after an impressive debut campaign in English football.

Both Real Madrid and Manchester United are firmly in the race to secure Jimenez's signature with both looking to add depth to their attacking options for next season.

But Juve are now also said to be looking for a new striker to replace Gonzalo Higuain and are showing interest in the Mexican, who scored in Wolves' win over West Ham on Saturday, after they reportedly gave up on Napoli's Arkadiusz Milik.

Now, Italian newspaper Tuttosport have claimed Juventus are going to try and include some players in a deal for Jimenez in a bid to reduce the financial cost with Wolves said to be holding out for around £50m.

One of those is central defender Rugani, who has fallen even further down the pecking order under Maurizio Sarri thanks to Matthijs de Ligt's arrival from Ajax last summer.

It is believed Wolves enquired about Rugani last summer but the Italians were unwilling to let him go because of an injury to veteran defender Giorgio Chiellini.

Juventus could also throw winger Bernardeschi into the deal. The Italian has struggled for regular game time under Sarri, who has plenty of options in the wide areas with Cristiano Ronaldo, Juan Cuadrado and Douglas Costa all at the club.

It comes after Jimenez admitted earlier this week that being linked to the likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester United is 'very cool'.

'It is something very cool, I do not know if they will be true, they are rumours,' Jimenez said while being interviewed on YouTube by actress Jessica Coch.

'Since they are talking about me, different teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool - they are teams that are important in football history.

'It is an incredible thing to be on the radar and on the lips of those teams. It is something good for me to continue growing, making an effort and taking it as an incentive so that, if possible, I can achieve it.'
