Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has compared Raheem Sterling to Lionel Messi after yet another goal for Manchester City against Aston Villa.
The Englishman grabbed City's opener against Dean Smith's side on Saturday as they went on to win 3-0.
Sterling grabbed his seventh goal in nine league outings for City this season, following his midweek Champions League hat-trick against Atalanta.
In total, the 24-year-old has 11 goals in 12 matches for City in all competitions, as well as a couple of goals for England.
Speaking on Match of the Day on Saturday night, former Arsenal man Keown waxed lyrical about Sterling's performances and even compared him to Barcelona legend Messi.
Keown said: “What a pleasure it is to see this man, Sterling, 13 in 14 games now, that's as good as Messi.
"Okay, he has to do it for the next 14 years but he is outstanding, it is a pleasure to see him play.”
