Vincent Kompany has been enjoying a tour of Anderlecht's training ground ahead of his return to the Belgian club this summer.

Kompany is leaving Manchester City after 11 years this summer to become player-manager of his boyhood club.

On Tuesday, the 33-year-old defender was pictured at the Anderlecht training centre alongside sporting director Michael Verschueren.

Sporting a black t-shirt with 'ICON' emblazoned across the front, Kompany was seen enjoying a tour of the facilities, which will soon be his home when he returns to Belgium this summer.

Kompany came through the ranks at Anderlecht and broke into the first team before moving to Hamburg in the summer of 2006.

He has already wasted no time stamping his mark on the Belgium club. Last month it was confirmed Manchester City academy chief Simon Davies has followed Kompany to Anderlecht to become the Belgian club's head coach.

Anderlecht said the 45-year-old Welshman had signed a contract until 2022 to join 'TeamKompany'.
