Arsenal are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa during the winter transfer window, according to multiple reports. However, France football has reported that Kurzawa will join the Gunners on a free transfer when his contract expires in June.
As France football state, Kurzawa had been formally signed by agent Sports Invest UK, whose director Kia Joorabchian is close to Arsenal's sporting director Edu, and who personally orchestrated the transfer of David Luiz to the club.
France football reports that Kurzawa is indeed in talks to sign a five-year deal with Arsenal in the summer transfer window that the PSG defender will be a free agent, not during the winter transfer window. However, this does not mean Kurzawa will join Arsenal for free and PSG will receive a part of the signing fee.
France football stressed that Arteta has great admiration for Kurzawa who turned down a transfer offer from Inter, is expected to join Arsenal this summer.
Kurzawa, 27, has contributed one assist in 14 games in all competitions for PSG this season.
