Sheffield United academy graduate Kyle Walker has revealed how he would love to finish his career at Bramall Lane.
The full-back made seven appearances for his hometown club before joining Tottenham in 2009, but Walker returned on loan to make a further 28 appearances for the Blades during the 2009/10 campaign.
The 29 year-old has won four major trophies since signing for Manchester City in 2017, but Walker wants to return to the south Yorkshire club before calling time on his playing career.
The England star told The Sun: 'I started there so I'd like to finish there.
'I don't know if they would want me or not — but we will see.
'Even if I just do a year there and hopefully pass on my knowledge of football to the youngsters coming through.
'I'm 29 at the end of this month but still feel fit. I played my 400th league game a few weeks ago, so I've racked up the numbers.
'Touch wood, I can play for many more years.'
Walker was thrilled to see Chris Wilder's Blades clinch Premier League promotion and cannot wait to play them next season.
He said: 'It's incredible. Full credit to them for what they've achieved this campaign because the Championship is such a tough league.
'I really hope that they can stay up.'
The Blades will play in the Premier League for the first time the 2006/07 campaign. when they were relegated back to the Championship only on goal difference.
