Lacroix: Losing to Arsenal is painful, but we must learn from it

Chelsea defender Lacroix said that the team's narrow away loss to Arsenal was painful for the players, but the team hopes to learn from the match and become stronger.

Chelsea started well, with Morgan Rogers scoring his second goal of the season to give the team an early lead, but Arsenal ultimately capitalized on their home advantage, scoring one goal in each half to inflict Chelsea's first defeat under Xabi Alonso.

"Of course, after losing, we're a bit unhappy, but honestly, I think we played well," said Lacroix.

"We just need to make some adjustments in a few details. I don't think it was easy playing away like that, but we performed very well.

"We accept this defeat, but we want to learn from it. I think it's good to know your mistakes and everything you did wrong. We have to keep moving forward and keep going."

The French defender was particularly regretful because he felt the team's performance deserved more. Chelsea had shown they were fully capable of challenging Arsenal on their home turf.

"I think we started well, but after they scored, the game became more and more difficult. However, we also showed good cooperation and attacking play, so this defeat is hard to take. We gave our all," said Lacroix.

"I think we deserved more. Luck wasn't on our side, but we have to accept it. Our desire to score and our attitude were clear. Until the very end, we showed great fighting spirit. We deserved a 2-2, but we will learn for next time."
