In an interview after the match against Italy, Lammens spoke about his mistakes during the World Cup and his thoughts on Courtois' absence.
On his mistake against Spain
"It was difficult to move on from that mistake. It was an extremely emotional moment. I wanted to help my team and my country, but things didn't go my way that day. It's unfortunate, but that's football. I tried to turn the page as quickly as possible."
On Courtois' absence
"He has proven himself to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and there will always be a place for him in the national team. I don't care if he plays when he returns—whether I'm in goal or not, I will give my all."
