The son of former Middlesbrough midfielder Jamie has been likened to Manchester United and England star Harry Maguire.
The 18-year-old is a 6ft 3ins centre-back with a robust frame who has already captained the Mariners this season.
Indeed, he skippered the side when he was still just 17 and has become a regular for the League Two club, making 27 appearances.
Leicester, Crystal Palace and Brighton are among those who have regularly sent scouts to check on Pollock, and Grimsby are braced for offers.
